The PADI Drift Diver Specialty Course in Taganga teaches you how to comfortably and safely dive in moving water while improving your positioning, buoyancy, buddy awareness and surface procedures.
You’ll learn how currents influence dive planning, entries, descents, navigation, group positioning and exits.
Once you understand how to work with moving water, drift diving can become one of the most effortless and exciting ways to explore a reef.
Course Itinerary
Duration: 1 day – includes 2 drift training dives.

Two Drift Training Dives
Practice:

Dive sites are selected according to current conditions and training objectives.

- PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or qualifying equivalent
- Minimum age: 10 years

Flying & Altitude After Diving
After multiple dives, wait at least 18 hours after your final dive before flying or traveling to significant altitude.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Online Deposit: Reserve your course with a deposit and pay the balance at check-in.
PADI eLearning & Digital Materials: Once assigned, PADI material costs are non-refundable.
Standard Cancellations: At least 48 hours’ notice allows a refund of any remaining refundable deposit portion.
Late Cancellations / No-Shows: Cancellations within 48 hours, late arrivals preventing participation, no-shows and voluntarily stopping training are non-refundable.
Ocean Lovers Cancellation: Drift training depends on suitable ocean conditions. If conditions aren’t appropriate, we may change the dive site or reschedule. If Ocean Lovers cannot reasonably complete the course, refundable payments will be returned excluding assigned PADI materials.
Health & Fitness to Dive: Contact us immediately if illness prevents you from participating. Last-minute cancellations are normally non-refundable, although we’ll assist with rescheduling whenever possible.
Regular Environmental Park Closures – #RespiraTayrona
During Tayrona’s regular conservation closures, drift training continues at suitable sites around Taganga and outside the official park boundaries whenever conditions allow.
