Descripción

Overview

Learn skills that can make a real difference when somebody needs help.

The Emergency First Response (EFR) Primary & Secondary Care Course in Taganga teaches practical CPR and First Aid skills for medical emergencies — both diving and non-diving related.

You do not need to be a scuba diver to participate.

The course combines flexible digital learning with practical, instructor-led scenarios where you learn how to assess an emergency, provide CPR, assist an injured or ill person and respond calmly until professional medical help becomes available.

For scuba divers, current CPR and First Aid training is also required before completing the PADI Rescue Diver certification and later professional PADI training.

For everyone else, it is simply an extremely useful set of skills to have.

Course Itinerary & Schedule

Before Your Course – Digital Learning

Complete your assigned theory before the practical session whenever possible.

You’ll learn the principles behind emergency response so that the in-person portion can focus primarily on hands-on practice.

Practical Workshop

During your instructor-led session, you’ll practice realistic emergency-response skills including:

Primary Care – CPR

Learn how to respond to immediately life-threatening emergencies.

Training includes:

  • Scene assessment
  • CPR
  • Chest compressions
  • Rescue breathing
  • Barrier-device use
  • Serious bleeding management
  • Shock management
  • Basic emergency-response procedures

Secondary Care – First Aid

Learn how to respond when an injured or ill person does not face an immediate life-threatening emergency.

Topics include:

  • Injury assessment
  • Illness assessment
  • Bandaging and wound care
  • First-aid procedures
  • Monitoring a patient
  • Deciding when professional medical assistance is required

Scenario Practice

You’ll combine individual skills in realistic situations so that responding becomes more natural and organized.

The focus is on building the confidence to actually act when help is needed.

Duration

Approximately half a day of practical training, plus approximately 2–3 hours of theory preparation.

Actual duration may vary according to group size and student progress.

Requirements

  • No previous scuba certification required
  • No diving experience required
  • No medical diving clearance required because there is no scuba diving component

EFR is suitable for divers and non-divers alike.

It is particularly useful for:

  • Scuba divers
  • Travelers
  • Parents
  • Teachers
  • Outdoor professionals
  • Hospitality and tourism workers
  • Dive professionals
  • Anyone who wants practical CPR and First Aid skills

What’s Included

  • Digital learning materials
  • Instructor-led Emergency First Response training
  • Primary Care / CPR training
  • Secondary Care / First Aid training
  • Practical emergency scenarios
  • Training equipment
  • Knowledge assessment
  • EFR certification after successful completion

Taking EFR for Your Rescue Diver Course?

EFR Primary & Secondary Care is the perfect companion to the PADI Rescue Diver Course.

To complete Rescue Diver, your qualifying CPR and First Aid training must be current — normally completed within the previous 24 months.

If you need both certifications, book our EFR + Rescue Diver Combo and complete the two programs together.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Reserve your course online with a deposit and pay the remaining balance at check-in.

If digital EFR/PADI training materials have already been assigned to your personal account, the cost of those materials is non-refundable.

For cancellations at least 48 hours before your scheduled training, the remaining refundable portion of the deposit may be returned.

Cancellations within 48 hours, late arrivals/no-shows or voluntarily stopping after training has begun are non-refundable.

Whenever possible, we are happy to help reschedule your training if your travel plans unexpectedly change.
