Our Monthly Clean-Up Dive is the perfect opportunity to combine your love for scuba diving with a hands-on contribution to reef conservation. Whether you’re an experienced diver or just gaining confidence, this dive lets you make a real difference while practice your buoyancy skills.

Why You Should Join & What to Expect?

Help us keep Taganga Bay clean while protecting its marine life. You’ll learn practical conservation skills from experienced instructors and have the chance to meet like-minded divers and eco-conscious travelers. This is a unique dive experience where every moment has purpose, from the underwater adventure to making a real impact on the reef. Plus: It’s also a great way to practice and improve your buoyancy skills!

Before the dive, you’ll receive a detailed briefing on how to identify and safely collect underwater debris. You’ll explore Taganga Bay in a small, friendly group, guided by our certified instructors, actively contributing to reef health. After the dive, we sort the collected debris into recyclable and non-recyclable items and record important data about the types and amounts of waste found. You’ll also have time to share stories and experiences with your fellow divers.

Do I need to book in advance?

We recommend reserving ahead of time, especially during busy periods. Your booking is confirmed once the required deposit is received.

Can newly certified divers participate in an underwater clean-up?

Certified divers with appropriate buoyancy control may participate in suitable tasks. We assess experience and explain how to avoid harming marine life.

How do you collect underwater trash without damaging coral?

We brief divers to avoid contact with reefs, leave hazardous or entangled objects to trained personnel and prioritize diver safety over collecting an item.

Does a clean-up dive earn a PADI Dive Against Debris certification?

Not automatically. A clean-up event and the PADI Dive Against Debris specialty are different products; book the specialty if you want formal training and certification.
