Get more from your dives with the PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty Course in Taganga — one of the most useful PADI specialties for recreational divers.

Enriched Air Nitrox contains a higher percentage of oxygen and less nitrogen than regular compressed air. When used correctly, this can provide longer no-decompression limits on many dives, making Nitrox especially useful for repetitive diving and multi-dive days.

You’ll learn how Nitrox works, understand oxygen exposure, analyze your own cylinder and correctly set your dive computer.

Choose between Theory & Certification Only or Course + 2 Nitrox Dives.

Course Itinerary

Duration: Theory & Certification Only – approximately half a day. Course + 2 Nitrox Dives – 1 day.

PADI eLearning

Complete your PADI Enriched Air Diver eLearning at your own pace before arriving whenever possible.

Instructor Workshop

Meet your instructor for a practical review and learn how to:

Understand enriched air mixtures
Manage oxygen exposure
Analyze the oxygen percentage in your cylinder
Record and label Nitrox cylinders correctly
Determine maximum operating depth
Set your dive computer for Nitrox
Safely use enriched air containing up to 40% oxygen

Optional – 2 Nitrox Dives

Choose the Course + 2 Dives option and immediately put your new knowledge into practice during two dives around Taganga and Tayrona National Park.

Requirements

PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or qualifying equivalent
Minimum age: 12 years

No dives are required to earn the PADI Enriched Air Diver certification.

Daily Scuba Diving Insurance – 15,000 COP/day: Available if you don’t carry active specialized dive insurance. Coverage is subject to the insurance policy terms.

Flying & Altitude After Diving

There are no post-diving flight restrictions for the theory-only option.

If you complete the optional dives, wait at least 18 hours after your final dive after multiple dives before flying or traveling to significant altitude.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Online Deposit: Reserve your course with a deposit and pay the remaining balance at check-in.

PADI eLearning & Digital Materials: Once your personal PADI Enriched Air Diver materials have been assigned, their cost is non-refundable.

Standard Cancellations: Cancellations at least 48 hours before the scheduled start may receive a refund of the remaining refundable portion.

Late Cancellations / No-Shows: Cancellations within 48 hours, no-shows, late arrivals preventing participation or voluntarily stopping the course are non-refundable.

Ocean Lovers Cancellation: If optional diving activities must be cancelled because of unsafe conditions or official restrictions, we will reschedule them whenever possible. If they cannot reasonably be completed, the refundable diving portion will be returned; assigned PADI materials remain non-refundable.

Regular Environmental Park Closures – #RespiraTayrona

The theory-only option is completely unaffected by Tayrona National Park closures.

If you choose the diving option during February 1–15, June 1–15 or October 19–November 2, we dive at suitable sites around Taganga, Santa Marta and outside the official Tayrona National Park boundaries.
