Expand your skills and confidence with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course! You’ll complete five exciting dives and earn your certification to dive up to 30m (100ft)The course is designed to be flexible, fun, and focused on real diving, with minimal classroom time and maximum ocean time. 

What You’ll Learn & Experience

Theory & Knowledge Development

Unlike the entry-level course, the theory in the Advanced course is light and easy to follow. Before arriving at our dive center, we’ll assign you the e-learning materials so you can read them at your own pace.

For each dive, you’ll read the relevant theory and complete a short knowledge review through PADI e-learning. Before the dives you will discuss key concepts with your instructor, so you feel prepared and confident in the water. After each dive, you’ll receive personalized feedback to enhance your skills.

Specialty Dives

  • Mandatory Dives

Deep Dive – Learn how to plan and carry out dives down to 30 meters/100 feet. Understand how depth affects your body, air supply, and buoyancy, and practice staying calm and safe at depth.
Underwater Navigation – Improve your underwater orientation using a compass, natural references, and navigation patterns. Build confidence in finding your way — and your dive buddy — underwater.

Drift Diver – Learn how to dive with the current, use surface signaling devices, and improve your awareness and control in moving water.
Fish Identification – Discover how to recognize and classify different fish families and species, making your dives more interesting and educational.
Night Diver (a favorite!) – Experience the underwater world after dark! Use dive lights, communicate with hand signals at night, and observe nocturnal marine life.
Peak Performance Buoyancy – Fine-tune your trim, master your breathing, and learn how to hover effortlessly to improve air consumption and protect the reef.
Underwater Naturalist – Get to know the relationships between marine species and their ecosystems, and become a more observant, eco-aware diver.
Underwater Photography – Learn the basics of capturing stunning underwater images, from camera handling and lighting to composition.

Duration & Daily Schedule (subject to change based on weather & availability)

2–3 days (flexible depending on your pace & ocean conditions)

Day 1 – Navigation & Adventure Dive
Morning (7:30 am – 12:30 pm)
• Review gear & plan dives with your instructor
• Underwater Navigation Dive – learn to use a compass & natural references
• First Adventure Dive – we recommend Peak Performance Buoyancy to master control and air use
Evening (5:30 pm – 8:00 pm)
• Night Dive – discover a whole new world after sunset with your dive light, spotting nocturnal creatures and glowing bioluminescence!
You don’t want to do a night dive? Let us know and we arrange a different schedule for your adventure dives!

Day 2 – Deep & Final Adventure Dive
Morning (7:30 am – 12:30 pm)
• Deep Dive – safely explore down to 30m, manage narcosis, and experience the thrill of the deep
• Final Adventure Dive of your choice – options include Drift, Fish ID, Naturalist, or Photography

Who Can Join?

To enroll, you must:
Be at least 12 years old
Hold an entry-level certification (PADI Open Water or equivalent)
Be comfortable in the water with basic swimming skills
Be in good physical health

Medical Requirements
