Better buoyancy makes almost every part of scuba diving better.

The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Course in Taganga helps you become smoother, more efficient and more controlled underwater.

Through two focused training dives, you’ll fine-tune weighting, trim, breathing and hovering so you can move with less effort, potentially improve your air consumption and avoid accidental contact with the reef.

Whether you’re newly certified or already experienced, buoyancy is one of the most valuable skills you can improve.

Course Itinerary

Duration: 1 day – includes 2 focused buoyancy training dives.

Buoyancy Workshop

Review buoyancy principles with your instructor and evaluate your weighting, equipment setup and body position.

Two Buoyancy Training Dives

Practice and refine:

Correct weighting
Horizontal trim
Breath-controlled buoyancy
Hovering
Efficient movement and finning
Streamlining
Controlled ascents and descents
Positioning close to the reef without touching it

Requirements

PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or qualifying equivalent

Daily Scuba Diving Insurance – 15,000 COP/day: Available for divers without active specialized diving insurance. Coverage is subject to policy terms.

15L / 100 cu ft Large Tank Upgrade – 10,000 COP/tank: Additional gas capacity for higher-air-consumption divers. Subject to availability.

Flying & Altitude After Diving

After multiple dives, wait at least 18 hours after your final dive before flying or traveling to significant altitude.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Online Deposit: Reserve with an online deposit and pay the balance at check-in.

PADI Digital Materials: Once assigned to your personal account, the PADI material portion is non-refundable.

Standard Cancellations: Cancellations at least 48 hours before your course may receive a refund of the remaining refundable deposit.

Late Cancellations / No-Shows: Cancellations within 48 hours, no-shows, late arrivals preventing participation and voluntarily stopping the course are non-refundable.

Ocean Lovers Cancellation: Unsafe weather, port closures or other safety issues may require rescheduling. If completion is impossible, refundable payments will be returned excluding assigned PADI materials.

Health & Fitness to Dive: Last-minute illness cancellations are normally non-refundable; however, we’ll help reschedule whenever reasonably possible.
